This is always a good question and anyone that’s in the field or has had to deal with this before would tell you it’s the guy that installed it.
The carpenter will ask the painter, “If I noticed a bare spot is it my job to fix it”
And in my eyes I don’t want anyone touching my finished carpentry work.
