Is there anything really cheap that you can substitute for molding and trim? We built our home intending to add molding and trim but life hit us before we could do it and we don’t have the $ to finish.

Hmm, for windows you could wrap them in sheetrock, maybe!. For base and doors and or windows you can use just plane pine like a 1×3 or 4. That’s 3/4″ thick. Or even cheaper you could rip down, long ways a 3/4″ AC plywood.
